The WXT530 multiparameter transmitter incorporates a series of compact transducers designed to measure six of the most important meteorological variables: air pressure, temperature, relative humidity, liquid precipitation, wind speed and wind direction. With 6 versions available, one can choose the combination of parameters that suits the needs of their application. The WXT530 is a simple system that uses advanced technologies to minimize operating and maintenance costs.
Integration is easy and flexible via digital or analog interface – at the user’s choice (has to be ordered correspondingly). Other analog sensors can be connected to the WxT536 to create one’s own weather hub (e.g. solar radiation sensors, water level sensors or water/soil temperature sensors).
Optional heating of the wind and precipitation sensors provide uninterrupted performance during freezing rain.
The WXT530 series multi-parameter transmitters measure of six of the most important meteorological parameters such as air pressure, temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind speed and wind direction. You can select the transducers with the parameters you need in your weather application, with a wide variety of digital communication modes and a wide range of supply voltages.
The WXT536 transmmitter offers analog input options for additional sensors. With the integrated A/D converter you can turn the WXT536 weather transmitter into a small hub for meteorological parameters. This way you can additionally measure any of the following parameters: solar radiation, precipitation – with a tipping bucket sensor, water or snow level – with an ultrasonic sensor, as well as an external temperature (e.g. soil or water temperature). In addition, mA analog output for wind speed and wind direction allows integration into a wide variety of industrial applications.
WXT530 series incorporates Vaisala’s unique solid-state sensor technologies HUMICAP, BAROCAP, THERMOCAP, RAINCAP and WINDCAP. Vaisala WINDCAP ultrasonic sensors are used to measure wind speed and direction. The atmospheric pressure, temperature and humidity values are combined in the PTU module which uses capacitive measurement of each parameter. Liquid precipitation is measured with the RAINCAP sensor, this being in fact an acoustic disdrometer.
